Kylie Minogue’s 10th studio album, ‘X’ debuted at #1 on the Motorola ARIA Album Chart this week! ‘X’ is Kylie’s third album to go straight to the top of the charts and it features the #1 single, ‘2 Hearts’, which was written and produced by the UK's, Kish Mauve. As a special treat for fans, you can also download a bonus track 'Rippin' Up The Disco' from the ‘X’ CD.

In further exciting news for Kylie, it was confirmed last week that she is being honoured at next year's Australia Week Gala Event in Los Angeles. The event has been held annually in January for the past four years. Post honorees have included Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman, Keith Urban, Olivia Newton-John, Naomi Watts, Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchett, Mel Gibson, Steve Irwin and Baz Lurhman. Each year the Australian Consul-General in Los Angeles honours one or two Australians who made a major contribution to the global entertainment industry at a dinner in Los Angeles attended by over 1200 people - a mix of entertainment-focused and expatriate Australians and a range of Americans from the business, political and entertainment fields.

Last week, Kylie confirmed a 2008 European Tour titled - KYLIEX2008 – opening in Paris on May 6 and progressing throughout Europe, reaching the UK on June 26 when she plays at Belfast's Odyssey. The tour then continues with dates in Glasgow, Manchester and London, concluding at London's 02 Arena.

Kylie said the following about the tour: "I am putting together a show that is going to be a new and exciting experience for both the audience and myself. The eclectic mix of sounds on 'X' is affording me an opportunity to explore and develop a new live show that will be fresh, exhilarating and innovative. After two celebratory tours, 'X' will be a look to the future but will definitely include favourites alongside the new. I can't wait to share it with you next year! See you soon!"

The new show will be a totally different concept to previous Minogue spectaculars, which have seen her fuse her remarkable creativity with groundbreaking technology to become one of the most respected live performers of our time.
