Charlotte Gainsbourg's IRM is out
As the daughter of French pop artists Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin, Charlotte Gainsbourg has found success as an actress, as well as a singer and songwriter.
For Charlotte's third venture into record making, the much-loved actress enlisted the aid of one of America’s most prolific and multi-gifted natural talents, Beck. Together they have come up with something unique. At times it’s bright and alluring, at others dark and disorientating.
"IRM" is a shambolic psych-out based on Gainsbourg's frequent MRI trips after she suffered a brain hemorrhage following a 2007 water-skiing accident, according to a behind-the-scenes video. "I had to do so many [MRIs] and every time I was in that tube I was thinking it would make great music."
'IRM' is OUT NOW & follows the single 'Heaven Can Wait' featuring a vocal duet between Charlotte Gainsbourg and Beck.
