The North Carolinian folk rockers are on their way to Bluesfest very soon, with their “sweet melange of Fleetwood Mac style melody and harmony”. In fact, one of the bonus tracks on their brand new album, After It All, features Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsay Buckingham on guitar!
The band is due to release its second album, After It All, on March 27 in time for their Australian shows, but you can listen to the album in full right now over at Rhythms Mag.

Bringing the individual art form awards together for the first time, the 2015 Australia Council Awards ceremony, held in Sydney on March 19, paid tribute to the remarkable contributions made by 10 Australians to our arts and cultural landscape. These prestigious national awards combine long-standing lifetime and significant achievement awards in music, literature, community partnerships and visual arts, with new awards in theatre, dance, and emerging and experimental arts. Other recipients included Thomas Keneally (NSW) – Australia Council Award for Lifetime Achievement in Literature – and Judy Watson – Australia Council Visual Arts Award (Artist).

2014 was a big year for the Gold Coast songwriter who released his debut album ‘Heartwood’ as well as headlining two national tours, & playing several high-profile festivals.
He isn’t slowing down in 2015, playing a string of shows at Byron Bay’s Bluesfest as well as a side show with Donavan Frankenreiter, then heading out on his third national tour throughout March/April.
One of the stand out tracks from ‘Heartwood’ is single ‘Is This Love,’ which has been remixed by Victor Van Vugt (Nick Cave, Beth Orton, PJ Harvey) and visually illustrated with a beautiful music video featuring Thelma Plum. It has premiered on Yen magazine’s website here.
